How to build a hall with bench cabinet for storage

Furniture receivers are attractive additions to your foyer or hall. You can build a hall cabinet with a bank of storage from a wooden door and some elements to build. Give new to an old wooden door of your life architectural salvage yard locally or buy a door with panels at a local store. Also buys wood for storage bank when you buy the door. The only tools you’ll need are a drill and a screwdriver. Make decorative metal hooks and hang a mirror in the center to turn a simple hall cabinet into a focal point.

Sand wood surfaces your door and wooden planks with a medium sandpaper grit and then with a softer. Remove all sanding dust. Place your primer and paint or stain on both sides of the door, the wooden planks and wooden slat. Let the paint or stain to dry completely before building the receiver unit with the bank for storage.

Build the framework of the case to the bank for storage by attaching a wooden plank 18 inches (45.72 cm) on one side of board 36 inches (91.44 cm) so that it is perpendicular to the first second. The edge of the first board shall be flush with the edge of the second. Make holes before inserting the screws. Une plank 36 inches (91.44 cm) in the front and back of the board 18 inches (45.72 cm) and the first board 36 inches (91.44 cm). Add remaining board 18 inches (45.72 cm) at the open side, uniting the three panels of 36 inches (91.44 cm).

Attach the strip of wood 36 inches (91.44 cm) to the rear frame of the bank, at the top. Add hooks on the front edge of the strip, 6 inches (15.24 cm) from each corner. Attach the remaining board 36 inches (91.44 cm) to the hooks, creating the top of your bank.

Une bank to the base of the door with wood screws. If your door is hollow, use broad bolts.

Attach the mirror in the center of the upper half of the door mirrors with adhesive. Une decorative six hooks, three equally spaced on each side of the mirror. Place the cushions in the bank to keep things to add comfort.
