Ideas to decorate the walls of a room
The walls of a room are not difficult to decorate. It can be fun to choose just the decor and accessories correct for this, the most personal room in a house. Unlike other public rooms in the house, the room should be uniquely yours. Create a quiet room and staff adding paint, wallpaper, pictures, shelves and walls to your favorite items.
Paint and Wallpaper
Painting is one of the easiest and cheapest to decorate the wall of a room anyway. Create a cozy cottage feeling installing paneling to half wall, then paint the top half of the wall with a soft neutral color. Another popular look in the rooms is to use tape painter to create wide vertical stripes. Paint a stripe itself and not with a slightly darker shade of the same painting. This aspect is attractive when used on an accented wall behind the bed. These walls can also be decorated with wallpaper. Choose a romantic pattern and papered the wall behind the bed. Shoots the rest of the room with a paint color that compliments the wallpaper.
Photos are popular in rooms, especially in the major. However, do not want to cover an entire wall with family photographs. This will create a look that is not overdone suitable for a relaxing feeling to be created in a room. Instead, choose two or more favorite photos and print them in black and white or sepia tones. Then intertwined and framed pictures on the same frame for a cohesive, elegant and peaceful look. Hang them in a horizontal row on a rail or headboard.
Shelves are a great way to end the flat surface of the wall in a room. But do not want to use them the same way you would in a family room.Doing so will remove the serene feeling of the room. Instead, create a warm and welcoming atmosphere by placing a small lamp on a shelf, along with a simple vase of flowers or a green plant inside. Add one or two of your favorite books. For a more romantic room, placed the lamp with some candles and incense adds a diffuser.
The wall behind the bed is usually the focal wall in any room. If the bed has no headboard, the wall will seem empty and bare, even if you decorate. Therefore, the best decoration for this wall is to create a headboard for the bed. This can be done with a simple piece of plywood, some batting, fabric and a stapler. For instructions on how to place a header with these materials, see the link in the resources section. You can also create the illusion of a headboard to the wall fixing shutters. Install one or both horizontally for a distinctive look.
